Lesson 4: Animals Grow

Share
1. All animals grow. They change in size and weight as they grow. They become bigger and heavier.

2. Many baby animals look like their parents. They are just smaller in size. For example, cat and kitten, dog and puppy, lion and cub.




3. However, some baby animals do not look like their parents. As they grow, they change from one form into another. For example, frog and tadpole, butterfly and caterpillar.

Lesson 3: What do animals eat

1. There are 3 main eating habits of all animals which are called Herbivore, Carnivore and Omnivore.

2. Herbivores are animals that eat plants. For example, horse and giraffe.




3. Carnivores are animals that eat other animals. For example, lion and frog.



4. Omnivores are animals that eat both plants and other animals. For example, chicken and cat.

1. We need food and water to stay alive.

2. We need to eat different kinds of food to stay healthy.

3. Some food gives us energy. For example, rice and bread.



4. Some food helps us to grow. For example, milk and fish.




5. Some food helps us to stay healthy. For example, fresh fruits and vegetables.
